The Six Senses, located in the ski resort of Crans-Montana (CH) has recently installed a new transcritical CO2 system to meet its refrigeration needs. The refrigeration plant was designed and installed by Ultrafroid, who chose Digitel control to regulate the entire system.
The refrigeration system serves various parts of the hotel, including 26 cold rooms, 11 Ginox refrigerated cabinets and 5 freezer cold rooms located in the hotel’s seven restaurants and bars. In addition, the system provides space heating and hot water for the hotel through heat recovery.
The operation of the system is controlled by a total of 51 Digitel controllers which are connected to a central unit and can be accessed remotely by the refrigeration engineer.
Our customer Ultrafroid: “It’s amazing, we have far fewer problems with the CO2 systems than with the old synthetic systems.
By opting for a CO2 transcritical system, the hotel is demonstrating its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while ensuring optimum comfort for its guests. This trend towards sustainable technologies is a step towards a more environmentally friendly future in the hotel industry.
Many thanks to Ultrafroid for the collaboration and this wonderful achievement.
